Moba Jones is a genre bending / blending duo made up of Carey Nordstrand and Edward Heppenstall whose influences range from Led Zeppelin and Peter Gabriel to Sade and Tool with a bit of Chic and The Police thrown in for good measure.

That might sound overly broad, but check out the quirky whole tone tune Make Me and then head over to the atmospheric and deeply personal Disappear followed by the mysterious and heavy Soul Fish. This will give you a good sense of how far afield these guys can be, but they also have straight up pop sensibilities as evidenced by the driving and melodic Hands are Down, which features the guest writing and vocals of Julia Lenhardt.

But they really aren’t content to be constrained and tend to follow their musical muse wherever it may lead and they hope you are curious enough to follow along on their journey.
